I am Attorney David Crawford.

My mission is to restore physical custody to parents wrongfully deprived of it. And to spur systemic change one case at a time.

Get started

A voice for parents fighting for custody.

A family law firm focused on custody and the flourishing of families.

Divorce and legitimation are normal parts of life. They are not a blot on a family’s history. They are part of the way families evolve. Our work is to protect the relationships that matter as families move through those changes.

Our approach

What guides our work.

We do not see divorce or legitimation as a moral failure. A family can change without making the relationships within it less worthy of care.

In our view, too much of the way custody is approached rests on assumptions about blame and what a family is supposed to look like. When we treat the marital family as the ideal against which every other family is measured, we can lose sight of the family in front of us.

Property and financial interests matter. But when they overshadow the work of preserving relationships, they can turn a change in family life into a conflict that goes on long after the case ends.

We want to challenge those assumptions and keep the focus on the people whose lives will continue after court: children and the parents who love them. That is the work we take on, one case at a time.

Custody attorney.

I represent parents facing serious, often wrongful threats to access to their children and parenting time.

Custody Project.

We are an advocacy organization on a mission to change child custody law in Georgia by reuniting children and parents, one case at a time.

What we’re up against.

Fit parents have no presumptive right to physical custody in Georgia. While the policy of the family law statute is to promote shared parenting, exaggerated or false claims can make custody a long and costly ordeal.

There are many fine judges in this state. We put our faith in the truth to help protect parenting relationships that would otherwise atrophy or even be lost in minimal visitation arrangements.

We don’t turn anyone away.
